Isla San Telmo

The Isla San Telmo Nature Reserve is recognized as an important nesting site for many species of marine birds and turtles. It is also important to the route of migrating whales, especially during the month of September. The island of San Telmo is part of the Pearl Islands (Las Perlas archipelago). The reserve itself includes 427 acres of forest, cliffs and sandy beaches, which was established as a nature reserve in 1996.
